Well I found the problem, it was the earth lead on the tail light itself
I had to take out the whole tail light fixture and there is a earth
connector on the top which in my case was unsoldered just relied on the
bullet end to push the stripped wire to the holder clean those up and it
all seems to work

There are 2 blinker units one for normal use & one for emergency use.
I have found that the earthing to the rear lights can sometimes be
unreliable.Check the black wires where they terminate on the body of the

on a 4way bullet connector screwed to the body.This is in the inside of

thr bullet connectors with a little grease or Vasaline to ensure that

dont oxidize.This trick should be used on all plug type joints.Only use
