[ROVERNET - UK] What does this bit do?

There are 2 blinker units one for normal use & one for emergency use.
I have found that the earthing to the rear lights can sometimes be
unreliable.Check the black wires where they terminate on the body of the car
on a 4way bullet connector screwed to the body.This is in the inside of the
Boot,sorry,Trunk under the black rubber lining.When u put them back smear
thr bullet connectors with a little grease or Vasaline to ensure that they
dont oxidize.This trick should be used on all plug type joints.Only use a
very fine smear
