[ROVERNET - UK] 2000 TC carb needle valves/ MGC

Based upon cars I had, cars I dismantled, and spare
parts that came with Rover 2000s, I can note that my
HS carbs from a Rover 2000 SC had a white nylon float
hinged to the top which activated a needle valve to
regulate the petrol flow. A piece of metal was
attached to the float and activated the valve.
My 2000 TC cars with HS 8 carbs had a brass float
which rose and fell unattached to the top lid. They
also had a brass needle. A piece of metal pivoted
from the top, was activated by the floating brass
"float" and the metal in turn operated the brass
valve.
