Ben,

Glad that you nailed the original problem. John e-mailed me a picture of the 
economizing device also. Very interesting. As I said earlier, I thought I 
knew most of what there was to know about SU carb. guess I am not too old to 
learn new things. Will be looking for the Wade book.
