On the carb question, the Burlen Services SU reference manaul suggests not.

The 3500S (listed as 3500 P6 USA in the book)  has HS6 type carbs reference 
AUD312 with "CUD1102BAC" needles, while the 2200 has HIF6 carbs reference 
AUF632 with "CUD1145BBX" needles.
