Glen,

The Pacific Northwest is not a damp rust prone area. Yes, we do get some 
rain, but cars here are not as rust prone as those in the East. The overall 
humidity is actually less here, particularly in the summer. The 
Portland,OR/Vancouver,WA area is a good place to find a rust free car. You 
should check out my original 54 MGTF that spent it's entire life here.
