[ROVERNET - UK] engine rebuild

My father is in the midst of building up his MGB GT engine.........He wants 
to outrun the Rover........LOL.........He,s lightened and balanced the 
flywheel and overbored the block .040 etc.......Has anyone lightened their 
Rover flywheel........If so how much weight have you taken off without being 
silly..........I don,t feel like losing my feet if the flywheel lets 
go..........Also does it dramatically alter the idle 
characteristics..........I,m thinking of going the lightened , balanced 
route on i bone stock engine first just to see the results.........Am i 
nuts, Maybe...........I,ll keep you posted
