Eric
You may be right ,it could be the sensible way to go after all ; but this is no longer a simple ? maintenance project . It has
turned into a man vs. machine grudge match , with tribal over tones . My home town is all of 15 miles from Solihull and we never
ever trusted "them from Brumagem [ Birmingham }"to get anything right , including motor cars . "They "built Austin 7s "we" built
Sunbeams , Stars , Clynos and all sorts of other splendidly engineered motors , none of which survived the Gt Depression .
The differential WILL come off !! Remember Mallory who, when asked why he wanted to climb Everest, said " Because it's there " At the
moment I feel like the doomed Captain Oates who said " I'm going outside , and may be some little time "
watch this space .
 Cheers
 Patrick
