[ROVERNET - UK] Brake flares and fittings

Mostly the flares are girling "bubble" flares. The only exceptions (I
think, it has been a while) are std single flares on early car metal
brake reservoirs and all cars at the ends joining to the flexible
brake hoses (three places) and a joint in the pipe that serves the
rear brakes.

The bubble flares are very difficult to obtain tools for, the best in
North America is an "iso bubble flare" tool, which has the correct
form but is for metric sized tubing. They work fine on imperial sized
tubing, though you'd be best off to practice 15 or 20 at least on a
scrap before you start shortening your good lengths of tubing with
errors.

Yours
Vern
