[ROVERNET - UK] LED Lamps

They aren't much chop for glare-sensitive people all round.
I have real issues with the new blue-light headlights, and DRLs that are Always mounted so low that the only way they are useful is if they aim straight out - which means that on every bump or rise they blind oncoming people.
In England it is illegal to turn headlights ON on motorways where there is good road illumination - the increase in light level contsricts pupils and REDUCES the ability of people to see. Our "safety" body (FORS) hasn't worked that out yet...

Hi Roland.
Your Rover may be safe from other *cars* at night with these lights, but
have you considered *motorbikes*?

I have a motorcycling mate that hates these trucker leds with a passion.
He finds that the brake leds in particular are a real glare hazard on a
wet visor at night.

He would like to see lumen limits imposed via legislation before any
bikers end up dazzled under the rear of a truck.
It would be great if the lights had an automatic day/bright and
night/dim setting.

Cheers
