[ROVERNET - UK] Oil pump, Oil Change Warning

Hi Jane,

Thanks for your comment -- I have half a dozen of these
springs that someone gave me -- are they color-coded to help
identify the usage/tension/strength? The ones I have are
red, blue, green, gray (shorter) and black (longer) -- a
virtual rainbow of relief valve springs.  The original one
(black/steel gray) seems to have fairly good tension, but
I'm not sure how strong it should be, either.  I've also
been told (and read in David Hardcastle's book on the Rover
V8, I believe) that using too stiff a spring can produce
other engine problems.

More reason to worry?
