To follow up on my last comment, I bought a used compressor for very little 
money. I also exploited the option of renting a paint booth.

There is an excellent website called http://autobody101.com that you should 
visit. It has a huge amount of information on blocking, painting and body 
work. From reading the forums, it seems quite common for people to rent.
