[ROVERNET - UK] hesitation blues

I have found ATF to be too thin. Tried it for a while.
I uses 20-50 engine oil.
I am hesitant to change the needle position, adjusting the jet down is preferable.
Which needles are they? The ones that came out?

The needle seats are flush with the piston, and the dashpots are full
to .5 inches from top with ATF. Do you suggest adjusting the needle
inward, so the seats are no longer flush?
Thanks, Paul.
