News of the launch of a Chinese built version of the Rover 75 rekindles memories of the Indian built SD1 fiasco, brought more sharply to life by Rimmers' recent recovery of the huge cache of SD1 parts laying dormant in a Madras factory for more than 25 years.

On e-bay - this ad for a brand new Indian built Standard 2000 (aka SD1) shipped to Western Australia in the late 1980s for evaluation purposes but stored ever since.
