I'm not a die hard originality freak, but I'd almost rather see any decent, 
functional 2000 Automatics we have in the USA remain mostly unmolested. I 
don't think that many survive, and they were a unique configuration unto 
themselves. There do seem to be a fair number of TCs around to be restored.

I'm still intrigued by that guy Down Under who slipped a modern Mazda inline 
four with 5-speed box into a TC and found that it fit nicely. That would be a 
neat swap. But the TC engines seem to outlast the rest of the car, over here. 
I haven't seen too many nice P6s with bad engines in them.
