[ROVERNET - UK] Electrically Challenged Question.

There is a fairly complete discussion on these tachs at a Sunbeam Tiger web
site http://www.classictiger.com/techtips/motach.html.
Apparently it is possible to convert a 4 cylinder tach for use on, in the
Sunbeam Tiger case, an 8 cylinder motor. Therefore Ben should be able to
have his tach converted for use on a 6 cylinder motor.

In British cars of the 60's (actually before 1974) the Smiths tachs were
triggered by current pulses; these tachs can be identified by the letters
RVI on the instrument face. Later tachs tachs were voltage pulse triggered
and have the letters RVC on the face.
