i obtained a used manual choke mechanism and from UK and fitted it to my 70 
3500S, which I bought with a useless, bodged together choke of some kind. 
The AED had long before disappeared. Following the book illustrations, it 
was not difficult. Suggest checking with Pierre or other UK help for a used 
set. It works fine!
