So Glen W tells me that lots of TCs in Philadelphia had steel wheels 
with covers. The thing I have always wondered is whether all TC had the 
1/2 studs, as it seems a silly thing to have hard to change and 
expensive parts required for an optional wheel. Also, I perhaps 
foolishly thought that the big studs were an upgrade to match the 
increased performance and brakes.Do post 66 cars all use Girling 
calipers with big studs, and matching wheels?  Most or all of the SC & 
auto cars I saw were 66 or earlier, so I don't know what later versions 
of these used.
