[ROVERNET - UK] P6B brake booster

Checked that, it was correct on the one I pulled out and the one I put in.
The wider part goes towards the fluid.
I'll do some checks now that I have disconnected the power steering pump -
it made so much noise that I couldn't hear the booster with the driver's
door open.

Is the small piston seal reversed?
On mine there is a lip.  The workshop manual has a
picture I think.  Otherwise I'll go downstairs and
look at one for you if more detail is needed.
