Hello to everyone in Rovernet

How many "Heritage Vehicle Owners" in the US are aware
of this site - see url below.
It seems like a good idea ~ to be notified by email
about cars which are destined for the crusher and to
have a period of grace to inspect them and exercise
the option of buying the car or some of its parts. The
site is maintained by the California Air Resources
Board under its Voluntary Accelerated Vehicle
Retirement program. Any other states (or countries)
have a similar program? Anybody used the site?
What a pity so many "salvagable" cars end up crushed!
Perhaps other countries could encourage the adoption
of similar schemes and help make the old adage "once
they're gone, they're gone forever" obsolete.
