Ray,

What is the trouble in all this.
Looks like completely normal to me.
At least all my Rover V8 engines do so.
When engine is cold oil pressure is
rocketing to 55-60 psi.

Or what is the difference with earlier situation?

Regards,
Lex van Opstal.

I've recently noticed that on starting my 1976 P6B and
on acceleration the oil pressure gauge is showing
around the 50 mark. Once the car settles down and is
cruising the pressure drops to around 35 to 40. Is
this something to worry about? and what could be the
cause? I have recently changed the oil and the filter
but the situation is unchanged. I would welcome any suggestions.

Thanks,

Ray Wilkins
