Hi,
The original radiators on P2 and P3 cars are not threaded, the cap fit by a
quarter turn using the 'fingers'. The Viking's head was an optional extra
on P3s, it is listed in the parts list. Both the head and suitable caps are
normally available from Mike Couldry, at least, that's where I got both mine
from.

Hi Andrew
normally, as far as I know, all the radcaps for P2's & P3's don't have any
little fingers on or around. They just have a small fin in the middle.
The Viking's head was fit on prewar models only. It needs a "flat" radcap.
Now, I know, (thanks to Ben IrishRover) that some radcaps were machined to
make it flat to accept the famous viking.
Original flat radcaps are realy hard to find now...I know the problem very
well.

Marc

Hi Ben,
I also have a P3 that needs a radiator cap. I have looked at another P3
and mine seems to be modified to accept a threaded cap. I think the
original has little fingers to hold it in place.
What was the Viking head cap used on? Does it have a threaded base?
Regards,
Andrew
