[ROVERNET - UK] P6B front windscreen removal tips sought

I concur with Paul's "sort of concur"....
I used a black rubber compound used by the windscreen
glass shops. If you have to remove the windscreen
again (ugh!), the rubber-like material will peel off
the windscreen seal.
Anyway, I put a thin film between the glass and the
rubber, and the rubber and the base unit frame. I
didn't want to have a water leak and then be sorry I
didn't take those precautions especially as I was
hardly tightening the bottom clamps.
