Hi Gang,

I wanted to thank everyone who provided helpful information about a
replacement fuel pump for my '70 3500S Rover. It is running fabulously,
BUT, some interesting bits of info for the group: The electric FACET pump
#574A that was listed in the parts book at the import car parts store DOES
NOT WORK. Even though the pressure range of 2-4 PSI is noted on the pump,
when installed, and the engine begins operating at normal temperature,
there is not enough pressure to overcome vapor lock and the engine stalls
out. My mechanic found an S.U. pump (I thought they only made carbs) from
a great source: British Car Parts, in Texas 1-800-231-6563. The range of
this pump is 2-7PSI. Even though it required some modifications, once
installed, when the engine is warm, or even hot in stop and go traffic in
the middle of summer, the 'ol blue beast idles without a hiccup!!!!

Cheers,
