[ROVERNET - UK] Re: P3 engine block colour

Hello Scott and group.

The original colour is a light blue/grey.

I can vouch for the fact that Scott's "recipe" produces very close to the
original. The only problem is that the original BMC engine colour, which I
think may be unique to OZ built BMC stuff, is probably as hard to find as
the original Rover stuff.

I had some mixed up off a piece of BMC engine junk I had here. Got none
left, a lad up the road scoffed it and painted his bike with it!!

If someone does ever get some Rover mixed up, it would be great if the
"formula" could be saved. If standard colours/tints were used it would then
be easy to replicate.

There is now a service in Taswegia which allows any household paint colour
to be replicated using some sort of "spectrometer" technology. If I could
find something small painted in the original colour I would try the system out.

Best regards to all,
