Hello 'Netfolks,
I am still in progress on the restoration of the 1970
Tobacco Leaf P6B. The car came from Connecticut in
Summer, 2001 and I have garaged it here in Texas since
then. It runs but is not driveable.
I hope you find it of interst that I believe it to be
the Lowest Mileage US 3500S. Hello 'Netfolks,
I am still in progress on the restoration of the 1970
Tobacco Leaf P6B. The car came from Connecticut in
Summer, 2001 and i have garaged it here in Texas since
then. It runs but is not driveable.
I Believe it to be the Lowest Mileage US 3500S.
The topic I wish to broach is that it has an odometer
mileage of 29,564 which makes it, the lowest mileage
US (Federal) P6B known. From Rudiger's Web site, the
present low-mileage listing for series 433..'s is one
with 35K miles.
The Physical Evidence of Correct Mileage
The odometer was functional when I stored it,
observing it during the tow around the block. The car
has rust caused by the former climate. The interior
condition is excellent - especially the seats and
based on the remaining appearances, the 30K mileage
figure is reasonable to me.
I Invite the Opinion of Others
Could it be 129K? Having owned and seen higher
mileage P6's, the 29K figure is plausible. Was the
odometer inoperative at a previous time? - I don't
know. If anyone has historical information about this
particular vehicle, please share with me.
In case additional evidence proves otherwise, I will
support the revocation of this submission. But for
now, I will present this to Rudiger to be the
low-mileage P6B among series 433.. VIN vehicles at the
indicated 29,564 mi.
Sincerely,
Richard Elliott
